Foreign publisher HarperCollins exhibits books in town

HarperCollins, one of the world’s largest publishing houses based in the U.S., in collaboration with HCMC-based book distributor Fahasa, is organizing a book exhibition at Nguyen Hue Fahasa Bookstore on Nguyen Hue Boulevard in HCMC’s District 1 on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the U.S. publisher.
The exhibition is taking place from now until July 30, featuring more than 20,000 copies of books in such fields as education, literature, economics, psychology, and children’s books.

On the occasion, Fahasa will offer a 10% discount on all book titles on display at the bookstore. 
The American publisher has become popular to local and international readers through renowned literature works such as “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein, “Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien, and “Game of Thrones” by George R. R. Martin.
Headquartered in New York City, the U.S. publishing company has a rich history of 200 years and is active in 18 countries around the world. More than 10,000 book titles are published in 17 different languages by the HarperCollins on an annual basis. The publisher boasts a long list of over 200,000 book titles in both printed and digital forms authored by renowned writers, including those having won Nobel and Plitzer awards.

Sai Gon Advenrure: Beautiful Picture

While the bustling traffic of HCMC seems intimating, we always felt very safe at the back of the motorbikes. We got to explore parts of the city away from the backpackers area and try authentic dishes amongst the locals. The food was delicious, but what made this tour memorable was our three lovely guides, Max, Su and Daisy.
